5 months old!

Kaylee is growing fast! She brings us so much joy (and is so exhausting!)

Stats: no doctor visit this month, 3-6 month clothes, just switched to size 2 diapers

Sleep: Kaylee sleeps from about 8:30 or 9pm until about 6:30am. She usually wakes herself up once in the middle of night by scooting from one end of the crib to he other and bumping her head in the corner. She also sometimes gets an arm or leg stuck 😀 haha

naps: always a struggle! I often have to put her in the car to get a nap.

Eating: Kaylee started the month nursing every 3 hours and then moved to every 3.5 hours (or 5 feedings per day).  She has now tried peaches, avocado, and sweet potato! She is doing great with a spoon but isn't always interested in eating. We are just starting with solids so I don't necessarily even offer everyday.

Milestones: starting solids, rolled from belly to back in crib a few times

Firsts: 4th of July, fireworks, trip to the outlets, solid foods, time in jumper

Favorites: Maggie, standing up, her mobile, teapot song, piggies, evening walks in stroller

Challenges: refusing to take a bottle, naps

Like dad: morning person

Like mom: stubborn? Passing on all my positive qualities...

Myrtle beach 2015

The annual family beach trip was moved to Myrtle Beach this year so that Kaylee could come. We made the 5 hour (ok 6) car ride to see everyone for the long weekend. Kaylee was only 3 months old but did great with a little entertainment from mom in the back seat.

Beach naps are the best!

It was so much fun experiencing the beach through the eyes of a child! So many firsts!

4 months old!

Stats: 13lbs 6oz (30%) 24.75in (50%) 3 month and some 3-6 month clothes, size 1 diapers 

Sleep: Kaylee is sleeping from about 9:30 or 10pm until 6:30-7:00am. She is a great night-time sleeper! Naps are a different story...

Naps: Kaylee usually goes down for a nap in her crib in the morning after about an hour of waketime. This nap only lasts about 45 mins at the most. She dozes off in the stroller or car for short naps while we are out and about. In the afternoon she refuses to nap in her crib but will sometimes nap if someone is holding her. Struggle bus...

Eating: Kaylee is nursing every 2.5 to 3.5 hours (6 feedings) with the last feeding around 9pm.

Milestones: rolling from back to belly shortly after turning 3 months, giggles, spins wheel toys, grabs and holds toys, talking a lot more

Challenges: naps (as always), wakes up too soon from nap freaking out and won't go back to sleep

Firsts: beach trip, overnight stay not at home, time meeting the petersens, aunt gail, and papaw, Father's Day.
